My journey & the lessons along the way... (Part 1)

Growing up, money was scarce and many of our decisions seemed to be dependent on money. Yet from a young age, something deep down told me that things didn't have to be this way - that they weren't meant to be so financially challenging, limiting... 

Fastforward, I started my career in corporate tech sales & recruiting hoping to find that financially freeing feeling, and dreaming of finally “making it”. After experiencing a lack of fulfillment and burnout from the income rollercoaster of sales, I quickly realized that a job wasn’t going to cut it and needed to find another money making avenue.    

From there I got my hands dirty researching everything I could about money, the wealthy and investing. I found a love for finance and that's when my own investing journey truly began. I looked to my employer as my own personal "investor" and invested as much as I could early on into financial securities. And within about 6 years had accumulated enough in investments that will support me financially in the future without ever *needing* to invest again.

But my journey didn't end there.

Becoming obsessed with finance inspired me to go back to school and I received my Master’s in Finance from Georgetown University. After a stint working in investor relations and exploring the corporate finance job market, I realized that there was a huge gap with women in finance. Research shows that most women find finance intimidating, confusing & overwhelming. It's been a male dominated industry and there's not many resources that break it down in an approachable way. 

So, instead of going back the traditional job route that I was use to, I decided to start my own company, She Investor, and help women do the same thing I did.

A new trajectory was born... (Part 2)

She Investor was intended to focus on financial literacy and investing tactics and strategies. The physical know-how to build financial freedom through the stock market. However, it quickly morphed into something much powerful...

When I launched She Investor, I didn't know I'd be signing up for a deep personal development journey. I didn't know there was more to learn about money. Another lesson I was meant to learn.

One of the more challenging transitions for me was going from a guaranteed and consistent salary to betting on myself and my ability to call money in. This required a totally new approach to money. An approach that required an understanding and embodiment of the non-physical aspect of money. 

You see, money is more than physical paper or digits in your bank account. It's an exchange of energy, this for that, a frequency and requires ways of being in order to bring in more.

I couldn't ignore this precious aspect of money. So I simply combined it all. :)
